Abuse, neglect (including self-neglect or neglect by others), and exploitation are serious problems facing many vulnerable adults who, due to age and/or disability, are unable to protect themselves.
Suspected or known incidents of adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation should be reported to Adult Protective Services programs in the County Departments of Social Services where the adult resides.
IF YOU OR THE PERSON FOR WHOM YOU ARE REPORTING IS EXPERIENCING AN EMERGENCY, CONTACT THE LOCAL EMERGENCY PHONE NUMBER. IN MOST COMMUNITIES, YOU SHOULD DIAL 911.
